Warren Consolidated Schools is proud to offer our community a high-quality Latchkey program available before and after school for students in grades TK-5 who are registered in one of our thirteen (13) elementary schools. A.M. Latchkey is also available to students attending Transitional Kindergarten (TK).
Latchkey programs provide supervised care on a regular basis for children during hours of the day when school is not in session; and parents are not available. Some benefits include:
- Peace of mind that your children are safe and well cared for in a nurturing, caring and fun environment.
- An opportunity to engage in organized extracurricular activities outside of the classroom, while enhancing the family/school relationship.
Children in the morning and afternoon programs have the opportunity to make friends and build relationships with individuals they would not otherwise encounter during the school day or out of school.
A healthier lifestyle of worthwhile activities as opposed to unsupervised students spending their time home alone watching TV, playing video games, surfing the internet and engaging in potentially unsafe behavior.
