Varying Emissivity By Color
In our experiment we tested the emissivity of different color aluminum blocks. We tested the spray paint colors blue, black, and white to determine if the emissivity was affected by the color, and not just dependant on the substance. Using three two-sample t-tests, we found that the painted color of the aluminum affected the emissivity. The black had the highest emissivity, and the white had the lowest, and the blue was in between.
